What does it feel like to be hypnotised?

 

The experience of hypnosis varies from person to person. Some individuals report a sensation of deep physical relaxation and heaviness, while others describe a light, floating feeling. Regardless of the specific sensations, hypnosis is a safe and controlled process.

Following a session, you may feel either deeply relaxed or mentally refreshed and alert. In either case, you will be fully capable of driving and resuming your usual daily activities.

 

Throughout the process, I prioritise creating a calm, comfortable, and supportive environment for all clients. Hypnosis involves a temporary shift in awareness, often referred to as a "sleep of the conscious mind." However, it is important to note that you are not actually asleep during the session.

​

Most crucially, the effectiveness of hypnosis is not determined by how it feels in the moment. Even if the experience feels subtle, the therapeutic process is still active. Trust in the process — meaningful change is occurring.

You can choose your own appointment with me online to suit you. My office is open Mon 2pm - 7pm, Tues & Wed 11am - 7pm, please let me know if you cannot make these times and I will be as flexible as I can be.
